Be a Messenger of Love!

Be the Change You Wish to See - One sticky note at a time...

I want to pose a challenge to you in this month of Thanksgiving.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it is as follows:  Every day this month,   take the time to write out a love note.  That's a personal message to at least one person in your life who has made a difference. Big or small, it doesn't matter.   Put it in writing so they can hold on to it, and read it over and show it to others.   This may seem like a small thing to you, but it could mean everything to them.

While I wish I could remember who to credit with this idea, I'm going to pass it on that you can, if you like, set the tone by saying, "One of the many things I adore about you is..."  because it suggests that there is so much more about this person that is good, and cherished, and worthy of love.

Whether it is an email, or a fancy card that you bought or made, or whether it's on a sticky note.  Do it. At least once every day this month.  It can make a difference and it matters more than you can ever know.

When I left Southern Oregon, I walked around the clinic where I worked to say goodbye to co-workers on my last day and was amazed at the number of sticky notes I had written to people over the years, taped to their computer monitors.  Those little notes had only taken a moment, and I was bowled over by what a powerful positive effect they had on people.  Never underestimate the power of this project!!

Put it in writing, because, as my dad used to tell me, "the strongest memory is weaker than the palest ink."

Remember, do it for a month.  Chances are you'll love it so much, you'll keep going, on into the new year and beyond.

And by the way, I LOVE YOU for reading this and doing this.  You're changing the world!!!
